'Cloudy' water is just air

Nov. 2: Holt Water has received a number of comments and calls about the water still being "cloudy" following the Oct. 28 line break. The 10-inch main was a big break affecting a large volume of water and there's still some air in the line. Flushing the line helps remove air that makes the water look "cloudy."

Fill a clear glass with water from the tap and set it on the counter. It initially looks cloudy, but it immediately begins to clear from the bottom up as the air rises to the top and dissipates.

All Clear

Oct. 28: It is no longer necessary to boil drinking/cooking water at this time. All lab samples came back clear.
